My vision is one of grandeur where themes of Popular Culture, Politics, Science, and Mortality are woven into iconic imagery. Rich color and surface endow my sculptures with an inner light and luminescence inspired by the likes of Bernini and Custom Hot Rods. I am genuinely trying to capture the sublime in sculptural form.
I use molds as a force multiplier, a military term that describe weapons and technology that increase the efficacy of an individual soldier. I find beauty and power in the visual rhythm of repeated images.
Art installations allow me to articulate an interest in the collusion of visual art and forms of entertainment such as cinema, theatre and club venues. My current installations are the result of a consorted effort to create a quasi-religious space that allows for a theatrical exaltation of a given metaphor or overarching theme.
